Our "Teen Readers" programme is a dynamic and challenging one-month intensive designed for the next generation of leaders and thinkers. We empower teenagers to become sophisticated, analytical readers of both fiction and non-fiction. Through rigorous discussion, persuasive writing, and public speaking, this programme hones the critical skills necessary for college and career readiness. We don't just read; we dissect, debate, and defend ideas. This is a place for ambitious students to challenge themselves and grow into powerful communicators.
Each week builds on the last, creating a progressive and exciting learning adventure
We learn to identify bias, tone, and persuasive techniques in fiction and non-fiction. We analyze famous speeches and political arguments.
Students take a position on a complex issue arising from a text. They learn to construct arguments, find evidence, and engage in formal structured debates.
We focus on writing high-level persuasive essays and reflective responses. Students learn to structure a thesis, build an argument, and use evidence effectively.
